A Rock solid castle is for my tastes on the Cold and Tough Icelands / Tundra. Wolfs by my side ... good times ... maybe steal some crystals from a planet and put them as spikes if I don't get the ice ones :D

I'm gonna find just a desolate moon somewhere and build my own domed plot with a terraformed habitat inside.

I'm assuming of course that artificial contained atmospheres are possible.

EDIT: If there are planets that have perpetual weather systems, I'm going to find one that's in a constant thunderstorm to build my mad scientist tower/lab on.

Probably desert, islands, tundra or jungle. If islands, then I'm going to make an underwater base with exits on the islands. I'll probably build an underwater city with glass rooms that have trees and grass in them. If Jungle, I'm going to make a treehouse! If i'm choosing desert, I'll make an underground city with large caves. If I decide to take a tundra planet, then I'll probably make a futuristic city inside a glass dome.

I hear that "solid daylight" and "solid nighttime" planets will be a possibility, which made me wonder - will there be planets of constant sunrise or sunset? Would love a vast ocean planet in eternal sunset, with a single grassy island just big enough for me to build the Restaurant at the End of the Universe on.

I shall a treebase of such immense vastness that it shall be worthy of legends.
even if I have to genetically engineer the tree.

I'm partial to ice fortresses or lava compounds. Though: I'm not against moving to the islands, mon.

You know, before watching the Batman Beyond series again starting just a few days ago I would've never guessed who that guy in your profile picture was. Just thought that was a funny coincidence.

I, however, am going to find the most hostile planet in the deepest, darkest reaches of space, where familiar life has never even touched the space spanning light years around it. There will be no record of its existence- not even the old gods will be aware of it... and I will set up my home there.

Yet this is one of the few cases where it's actually relevant, as you can have multiple homeworlds.

I'm choosing crystal not because it seems like a beautiful place to set up a home on, but a difficult place.

I am going to attempt to make my planet into 1 giant underground facility, having stripped the surface of all resources its going to be a barren wasteland, kinda like Zebas from Metroid.

I am going to make my homeworld on a Tundra if at all possible, with only a few one to two story building on the surface, that are all connected underground via vast tunnel networks.
