What kind of homeworld/biome will you settle in? (poll)

I love the snow and the ice, so I will start with a ice planet preferably. Build it right up against the ocean, so i can have my port city with easy access to underwater exploring when I get some kind of vehicle (or suit).
To be fair I have been semi-designing my beginning town for a while now

 

Chances are I'll pick an isolated ocean planet. failing that an Ice Ocean planet is second on the list.

Seems like the most popular planet happens to be crystal, pretty surprising. I figured it would be in 5th or so place

 

I hate to burst your bubble, but that franchise already exists.

On Topic: Probably a crystal or island biome. They both appeal to me in their own ways. Both have great music, crystal is all around beautiful, and islands have a bunch of potential for building.

 

Duh it exists! Who do you think created it? And I meant implementing it into the game.

 

Do you need someone to place your vending machines throughout the galaxy? I'd be more than willing to do so... for a price. You can pay me in chocolate.

 

Of course you can help spread my vending machines... but really... chocolate? I was gonna pay you in grape soda... I guess chocolate is fine...

 

Probably Ice planet.
Not only do they have the rather unique temperature mechanic but I'd imagine that combining long nights and auroras would be really cool!
But... I want to see the new, secret planet type before I decide!

Not really sure, but since I plan to make a Hylotl, I voted Ocean/Islands.

Very much tempted by Ice or, heck, Tentacles.
I hope it'll be possible to tinker with the world generator to allow for a Ice/Island hybrid planet.

I know they're making it so planets have only one biome, but their systems can handle multiple biomes so I doubt it'd be hard to mod such functionality in.

I believe there's an Ice Ocean biome that is basically one big frozen ocean with chunks of ice floating around.

 

I was trying to figure this out, too. I'm not sure if I'll just set up a permanent base on whatever planet we initially start out on, or if I'll just have little bases here and there to use for different reasons while I'm leveling and exploring.

I tend to lean more toward forested or tropical areas, I just prefer the way they look. However, every biome so far that we've seen looks so interesting, I may end up going for something that's generally atypical for me. I just don't know!

 

I believe you have no base unless you so decide, your ship serving as your literal headquarters. It's basically a mobile base, you can just set up on planets if you feel like anchoring down and building-oh say-a secret underground research laboratory dedicated to the scientific mysteries of some ancient artifact capable of fueling an army and powering enough weapons to give a single man a stranglehold over the entire galaxy's population. Heh. HEHEHE-MAUAHAAHHAHAHAAAA!
Um... anyway, I guess it's really up to you.

 

Ice, volcanic or crystal. Whichever ends up being my favorite.

(Knowing my destructiveness in gaming, it might end up being volcanic so i can have my base in a volcano lava geyser)
But i don't want to be a baked cookie, so...
