What kind of combat style would you prefer to play?

Of course, if any of my ideas are added, I will solely use that weapon. Even if it sucks.

 

Dual wielding bats. Ooh, or a yo-yo, those things hurt.

 

Duelwielding grappling hook guns and using them to fling enemies around would be pretty fun. Especially if combined with the jetpack to drop them to their deaths.

 

Maybe stabbing people with syringe swords.

Well, I do hope that swords and guns are more simple than "click and attack".

I want guarding, combo slashing, different firing modes, and more.

 

Seconded, something that gives a more dynamic feel than what Terraria had, makes your hands think while you play, not just click.

OT: Certain weapons will have certain fighting styles. For example, if you wield a katana, you will use it as a Ninja would. Weapons higher up the crafting tree will feature more uses.

 

Ranged weapons, pretty much the same direction I went with in Terraria.

 

I would prefer anything earth or fire related

 

I'd like some Medic weapons. Poisons, gases, and other stuff. I like supporting my allies and weakening my enemies for my friends to wipe the foes out.

I used to be a sword user, but then I used a Megashark™.

Then I thought, why use swords?
You get blasted in the face while charging at a ranged foe.

 

I use melee for weak mobs and ranged for the stronger mobs
