What is your singleplayer-multiplayer ratio going to be?

I have no doubt that multiplayer will be fun. I just want any multiplayer to be over Skype (or whatever) with good friends. So if setting up a server takes more than 5 minutes or none of my friends get the game, then it'll be all solo. so 100%-50% solo and fill in the gaps with multiplayer.

I'd ideally play mostly multiplayer, but because pretty much all of my current friends who would be interested in the game are often busy with other things/friends and sleep around 9-10 pm my time (both my online and real life friends, sadly), I'll probably spend a lot of time in single player (yay for staying up til 5am even when i have college at 7).

It'll also depend on how the multiplayer works, and if I make new friends/start doing stuff with other current friends more.

If we can have multiple characters that can go between worlds/servers like terraria, then I'll probably have a few and I'll be set gaming-wise for the rest of 2013

 

I would say probably about 65% Multiplayer, 35% Singleplayer.

 

Probably 5% at most SP and 95% MP. If my record with all COD games (Or any S/MP games) is anything to go by, I probably won't even touch SP.

 

I'd say about 90% multiplayer and 10% single player. Single player for the times I don't have anyone around to play with, I might not even play alone x.x Flying solo just ain't fun for me and anyone here looking for people to play with whenever we get our hands on the game, I'm right here! -raises hand- haha

 

Probably 20% MP, 80% SP. All my friends either don't like this genre or have busy real lives.

 

10% Singleplayer, 90% Multiplayer.

Reality: 99,9% Singleplayer 0,1% Multiplayer

50/50. I like MP a lot, but i'll do a SP-playthrough to get used to the game-mechanics.
But on the other hand...

 

It'll be completely multiplayer for me, unless the server goes down or nobody's on.

 

... If Starbound does end up having planetary nukes and stuffz, then yes, most of my bases will be destroyed someway or another.

Which is one reason I can't trust myself with Dynamite in Terraria..

Also, I might be only Single Player.

I could never get Terraria's Multiplayer to work, and I hope it's not the same for Starbound.

 

Probably 75% multiplayer and 25% singleplayer, since I have some friends irl that I game with regularly, and we are really excited for this game to be released.

 

100% multiplayer! Real adventure is playing with someone.

 

Ideally I'd play 90% multiplayer, but I can't seem to pique my friend's interest on the game yet

So I'll probably play by myself, take a long break while all my friends start playing, and then play about an hour of multiplayer before they drop it. Wait, does that make me look bad?!

 

I've got a wonderful crew to roll with, so ideally much of my time will be spent on multiplayer.

I will probably have a single player world for experimentation purposes, though.

 

100% singleplayer unless I get my irl people to play with me.

I can't cope with stupidity and immaturity. There will always be griefers. I rather play with people that I know I can have fun with.

 

I can't say I agree, since getting to know strangers is part of the fun, and administrative powers in servers can prevent much griefing. To each his own, I suppose.
