What is your favorite reference?

There are many references in starbound. Most of them are references to other sci-fi media.

What is your favorite reference to your favorite sci-fi book/game/movie?

You know if you used the search function, there would be a thread based on references already, right? I know it's hard for some, but try, at least.

Also, none of them - I prefer the game to make reference solely to itself.

 

My favorite Reference is One of the Glitch Novels which is a straight reference to Blade Runner!

Follows a "Psuedo" Rick Deckard on his own investigation to find who "retired" a Glitch in the village.
(With the conflicts of the "Outcasts" and Glitch society, etc. Also some empathy is developed.))

Apex references to 1984...

 

ive stumbled across a few. Star Wars with the hoth gear and death star display, blade runner references to deckard in glitch lore as well as dr who, robocop and signs from portal, A song of ice and fire is referenced on a fur pelt, and ive been to a planet that may or may not be referencing alien with a background image but could also just be the tail end of plane wreckage, fifth element leeloo clothing. and metroid with the morphball.

 

I enjoyed the star trek reference with the vanity armor.
