What is your biggest hope on Starbound?

Mine is the world generation, that is damn big! And yours?

 

Mine is the (hopefully) high amount of replay-ability. The fact that there will almost never be 2 items that are the same(of the random gen ones) seems pretty interesting to say the least...

 

The variety. The more I've played of Terraria, the more I've started to noticed how much has been reused, just being a re-texture.

 

The liveliness and techy-ness. I am excited for a more futuristic and populated sandbox game.

 

mod-ability!

 

I want an huge variety of equipment that lets me change the weaknesses and strengths of my character and allow me to play the game my way.
I want to become the saviour of the universe.

I'd hope that the drop rates are, at the very smallest, 1%. I'm still trying to find that 0.17% wisp in a bottle drop in terraria.

 

Building a universal empire.

 

Becoming the ruthless dictator of the whole entire Apex race. I'm totally going to abuse all of them.

if there is one thing i want to see more than anything then id have to say Dynamic items and population that interacts for a realistic environment across an infinite galaxy. i want to see people sitting at park benches and eating, a smithy whacking something with a hammer and avian flying by on hover bikes while talking about a seed harvest, this makes me feel like im in an infinite universe full of many kinds of people who all do their own thing. i want to forget that they are gone a short way off screen, i want to go to another planet and think "wonder what the blacksmith is hitting" or "did those two like the harvest festival?" and i want it on a scle that is unfathomable for me.

what drops that? and do you know where to get the gun that shoots coins?

 

The hardmode skeles (either blue, hell or rusty armor ones) in dungeons drop them. They appear after you've killed plantera.

 

Coin gun is a very rare drop from pirates.

And yeah, low drop rates are awful. Only item I have left to get for my collection is binoculars, which are a <1% drop from the eye of cthulhu.

 

Director mode, that's my biggest hope, it is what truly makes a game endless, and allows for variants, i just hope enough admin tools for a director mode is made.

 

I want to take a large - but not infinite - planet, strip mine it of all resources, and then begin building a world-wide city of steel with auto-turrets, watchtowers, checkpoints, barracks, security drones (or NPC guards if that's possible), citizen population areas, and a giant capitol building.

I will reign over this world of steel and spread the glory of Man across the cosmos.

If starbound is anything like terraria, you should be able to stop mob spawn by building a normal wall (walls that won't summon mobs) over literally everything. It'll be the great wall of Starbound, and it'll be glorious.

 

Awesome and in-depth storyline and the Director Mode God dammit!

Seriously though, I'm hoping for some great NPC interactions to the point of maybe even being able to build an NPC town on your home planet for the various peoples you meet.

 

I'd like to totally dominate a planet and turn it into an empire, if that's possible. I really hope that spaceship combat is added in the future as well ^.^
