I'm afraid I'm gonna hate every planet that isn't earth like..... But I guess I will enjoy them, just won't like living there....

My fears would be having the game come out next year instead of this one.
Also, I will probably play a lot so I'd prefer not discovering everything at light speed.
And my final one, is not finding the clothes and gear that I dream of. Namely a bad ass Katana, and the clothes in my display picture.

That the community will turn into Minecraft, ugh. I hope Blockland stays the way it is if it comes on Steam.

That people would say "Oh a Terraria clone" and just give bad views on it without even trying to play or see the diferent aspects it brings to the table

My Homeplanet doesnt have enough space to place chests, where i can hoard every single item in the game, besides the random generated.

A nother Planet is NOT an Option ! xP

While I understand people's fear of the community becoming a lot like Terraria's or worse, there are two reasons I think this probably (and hopefully) won't happen:
    1. Considering a quite large group of people find this a worry-some problem, there will be at least a moderate sized community that still acts mature.
    2. The way multiplayer is going to work. Since there will still be the millions of planets in multiplayer as there are in singleplayer, I don't think it's going to be like Terraria in that you can't find a place to build or to get away from the less-than-nice people of the community.

Does the multiplayer work like that, or does it make everybody be n the same planet at the same time?

My fear is when the game comes out and thousands of ''Minecrafters'' stream in and ruin our community.

    edit I have another one!
My fear is that everyone is overhyped for starbound and when it comes out everyone will be dissapointed.

Yes, I think there was a post from the leading developer that said that it will have all the same planets as in singleplayer, because they are created from the seed (the co-ords) and I don't think the development team will create a different algorithm for multiplayer.

  16. I'm certain many of you share this fear with me, in relation to all games, actually:

    - A rushed and unpolished product.

There have been tales of games being rushed so that they could fit, for instance, the Christmas season, just to hit the sales, and then they're not exactly as great as they could have been.

I'm not saying that this is going to be done. I'm just stating that it'd really be a shame if it were to happen. Of course I'd like to get my hands on the game as fast as possible :p But I will gladly wait a few more months, if necessary, for the product to be sharpened overall. :alien:

Still, I'm glad to know there will be a team providing updates every now and then. ^^

    Keep up the good work!

  17. I'm just hoping the story will be good, I'm a sucker for a game with a good story :)

    My Fears:
-Once you hit endgame, and get most of the gear it becomes boring (Kind of like terraria)
-It doesn't get released this year
-I'll end up learning everything from a wiki, and nothing will come to a surprise to me anymore.
-It will be too short and I'll be done with it in a day
-The game will end up being one of those games that updates once and while and eventually stops

Well my friend I have some advice for you.
    1. don't rush, as in, don't spend all your time just "getting the next thing" and spend some time just enjoying the scenery, exploring some caves on a planet lower level than your gear, building some fun structures, etc.
    2. Meh, either it does or it doesn't but you'll get it eventually, so worry not and be patient.
    3. AVOID WIKIS LIKE THE PLAGUE, THEY ARE EVIL AND WITH STARBOUND WILL PROBABLY CONTAIN EXCESSIVELY SPOILERISH INFORMATION.
    4. I somehow doubt this one, but refer to point 1 nonetheless ;)
    5. Well thankfully Tiy and his team have already come up for a wonderful system with this, where the main team will work on big updates with a smaller team working on weekly updates.
