I know. What's it gonna take for some people to just stick with some nice vanity items? "Oh, everything has to have a glow and look sparkly!" Idiots.

And yes, some people who are just paranoid about inviting griefers may look like total arseholes to you, but they just want to make sure you aren't there to steal or destroy their stuff.

Everything wrong about them can be explained quite simply by their constant and incessant breathing. That one behavior alone covers everything.

Don't bother with any public servers. Half the starbounders I run across are only interested in roleplaying *shudder*

Why don't you ask them what is wrong with them, maybe they have an answer

My advice would be to not join open public servers. Take the time and look for password protected servers that encourage a play style you prefer, then go through the application process and gain access.

Pretty much what I came here to say, lol... Better question might be, What is wrong with PEOPLE? :wut:

I don't think I've met anyone only interested in only Role-Playing on Public Servers. In any case though, I don't see how people wanting to RP is a bad thing that someone would want to avoid.. Nothing stopping you doing your thing whilst they do theirs, not like you're being forced to partake.

People joining groups and robbing ships is a bit of a practice on Starbound servers.
These people are just trying to protect their stuff; they don't think you're legitimate.

I think ship-lockers should only be accessible by the owner of the ship.
Any chests or containers you choose to put in your ship should be lootable by others, however.

This way you could choose what you share and what you don't share. You have a place to keep your valuables.

In all honesty though, a bit of RP is fine mixed in with actually playing the game, as long
as it doesn't turn into borderline e-stalking.

All right people back on topic.
If you guys want to continue your little - Role playing of Internet Users - do it in private conversation.

In my opinion, some people are just douchebags when exposed to the internet. There's not much you can do to stop them from doing stupid stuff that others don't like.
