What is this Guy?

I was walking along to redo the Arena when I stopped for a moment to look at the guy outside of it, The First thing I thought was "What are you?". Now I am genuinely curious on what species this guy is.

 

I don't think we have informations about him in the game. He's probably just here to give you tips about the battles, but imo he's not supposed to have any story behind him (but if we can think about one maybe he is a coach or something like that, though he doesn't look like one).

 

I want to know what he is more than who he is. I mean is he isn't any of the 7, or the weird extra ones scattered throughout the universe.

 

Well he's wearing a brown bandit hood so we can't really determine from which race he is.
But now I really want to know what he's (and who he's too) because I can't really think what he could be.
He can't be a bandit, even if he's wearing one of their hood. He's not hostile at all, he just gives you some tips.

 

I think he is an Hylotl, due to the red eyes and the sound he makes when spoken to, which is the same as male Hylotl.

 

but he only has two eyes, and some of the Non-playable races also use sounds from the original 6.

 

Because his head is an Apex T2 armor set. There will be two eyes on everyone.

 

What on Chi Wastes II a made you think it's a new species? There's not a pixel of exposed flesh. They're a person in completely ordinary concealing clothing!

 

The mouth moves when it talks.

 

I think they might be a Glitch

 

i looked at the wrong guy and looked at your character until i realized that you where talking about the guy on the bench.

 

It doesn't state it's emotions before it's sentence like all the Glitch.

 

If you want a technical answer, they're a Hylotl.

 

but it doesn't have three eyes. so unless it is the only Hylotl to have it's eye cut out it can not be a Hylotl.

 

Could be anything. Maybe the third eye is simply covered by the hood's shadow.

 

I ask that someone take their Hylotl character put a bandit hood on them and upload a screenshot of you wearing it. Then we can either rule out Hylotl or still be puzzled. Because If I am remembering correctly you can see the bottom of the third eye on the top of the hood.

 

It's not necessary. The item in question is Rebel's Hood, and it looks the same on everyone, no matter which race is wearing it.

 

I see I thought it was a bandit's hood and he was just a weird thing they threw in.

 

He's whichever race you're currently playing as. (Yes, even the ones with non-standard body types. That outfit hides everything.)

This is because he is, in fact, your father. (The player character's, that is. Not your own.) You've drifted apart since you signed up with the Protectorate, but he's always been proud of you, no matter what, and has such high hopes for you. He knows you'll go far.

After Earth's destruction, he found out from Nuru (he's old friends with her dad, actually) that you're alive and trying to save the universe from the Ruin. Unfortunately, much as he'd want to step in and help you, he knows that you have to do this yourself - he's had his glory days, now it's your turn. And showing up now would just be awkward and distracting, and you can't afford that. So he's resigning himself to offering quiet support and advice from the sidelines, as it were. Providing tips in the arena may not be much, but it's what you need at the time. Other times, in other places, he might show up with a well-timed word of advice on something else, if you really need it.

It's his way of helping. Because he's your father, and he loves you. And he's so very proud of you.
