What happens when a giant meteor hits a village

Holy God. You got two of them. And it destroyed your base. Yikes. Lovely explosion after the second meteor, though LOL.

I know, I could have sworn it was 3. The second explosion was rather like a firework. We since moved our base deep underground.

 

Three? LOL!! I looked at the video numerous times, so the third one must have landed further up. I did see the sparks from something else. Wow... you guys got bombed.

I didn't even know meteors like that were in the game... now I'm scared..

 

I would guess they occur where there are asteroid belts. My solar system has two of them, so go figure. On the other hand, I may be wrong. Nevertheless, keep looking up.

 

I don't think planet had an astroid belt but it did have low gravity. We had been playing on it for awhile with nothing bad happening. Then craziness.

 

yeah, marcusdemonicus is right. that is awful but truly LOL worthy! ! settle not on a planet with meteors, hmmm?

 

It is hard to tell if a planet has meteors or not. The best thing to do is explore overnight and spend time there before you settle. A good example of this is when I found an Avian pirate ship and stayed overnight purchasing guns and exploring. Next thing I know, Avians were scattering as small meterors pelted the ship! The quartermaster was killed and I couldn't buy any more guns. It was time to go.
