What happened to the trailer?

I havn't posted here in awile, I kinda left the forum untill starbound is released, but I'm wondering, Everyday I check the daily updates, and there is no news on the trailer. They said last time "where almost done it, it will be out ASAP" I kinda feel like they abandoned it, thus creating the problem, can I really trust that they're going to release the game in 2013?

But sticking to the main question, what happened to the trailer?

Personally I haven't followed the news much, when did they mention a trailer?

 

I think he means the one Omni trolled over one million people with. The azzum old guy singing very weird lyrics to a Starbound soundtrack.
Aliens with weird, weird eyes.

 

A good question to ask directly I think. Try tweeting directly at Tiy, or direct messaging him through irc maybe.

 

They said that they need to put in some specific content to show off in the trailer before making the trailer.

Then once that's in order it should be up soon™ from that point.

No, there is an actual trailer coming out. That guy isn't even related to Chucklefish/Omni anyways.

They are basically waiting for some more features to finish the trailer, I guess those features are the NPCs.

 

About a month and a half ago they said it would be out "next week at the latest".

 

You didn't happen to ask what planet's week they were using, did you?

But yes, Tiy said they still wanted to add a few more features to include in the trailer.

 

I'm just letting the commentors above know that what he was referencing had nothing to do with the 'troll' trailer.

You always get this feeling in the pit of your stomach "You know what? This game is close to release.." And then you realize there is no Trailer and that Starbound will have an exclusive look at the Insomnia Festival, and that beta is still as far as the stars we hope to someday travel to.

 

Do NOT post false information like this, there are too many people doing it as it is. This is your only warning, and that goes for everyone else in the topic.

 

I guess that december will be a great month: trailer, beta, community driven adjustments, game release and more updates !!!

 

The proportion of threads in which people are voicing concerns about the lack of things is increasing pretty dramatically.

Either the devs literally can't sate their community (for its own childishness and impatience) or they're failing in some form.

Thoughts?

 

I've gotten used to the idea that it may not be coming out soon. But think about it this way: as long as they do not rush things and develop the game as intended, we will eventually have an amazing game to experience.

edit: right, this is about the trailer. That will will be awesome-er as well
