What happened to the awesome weapons they advertised on Insomnia?

I've encountered a weapon or two that can destroy the terrain pretty well, and I'm expecting even more destructive weapons to be implemented as development continues. I think you're lacking some patience, both for development and gameplay progression.

And really, you shouldn't try crucifying game developers until the game is "officially released" or they procrastinate and keep it perpetually in "beta." The Starbound devs so far have been updating the game at a rapid pace, so they are certainly nowhere near guilty of either.

i have an axe that kills any lvl 10 enemy in 2 hits got it as a random drop from some humans in a jail not good enough for you? then how about my flamerthrower? its both flashy and does good damage or wait how about my rocket launcher that can 1 shot any mob or cluster of mobs?

 

Really? Did you think you´d start the game up, land on a planet and immediately be given THE PLANET DESTROYER GUN THAT DESTROYS PLANETS!! The entire point of games like this is that you start up small and then build up towards the grand-ruiner type items. That have yet to be implemented as it is a: Dun-duuuuunnn.... BETA!
I mean, c´mon, how long would you play a jungle-ruiner-simulator? I might have giggled at it for maybe 30min to an hour, but trust me, it´d get dull reeeeeeally fast.

Guys, I'm pretty sure he's a troll. He had a thread on the steam forum for the game earlier that went for around 200 comments of him just arguing with everyone.

Crafted hammer one shots smaller critters and birds, and it's not even slow, all you have to do is to find weapon with same DPS, but slower, not every drop, but possible.

As for energy consumption on ranged weapons in the latest patch, i'm pissed about it mysef, but it's not set in stone, yet.

 

If only.....
