You forgot Magitek Armor from Final Fantasy 3/6.

 

Getting an infinite crew of different NPCs, and populating the galaxy with them.

I just like the notion of experiencing different environments with strange creatures I haven't seen before.

 

The vehicles interest me, but i'm really looking foward to the random item generation.

fighting as hard as megaman... nearly limitless versions of weapons... big strong vehicles... random worlds... terraforming... science fiction... weapons... random emenys... and more weapons... and moooaaaar weapons...

 

I'm excited about the everything, but I think I'm the most excited for the random generation and how well it's executed.

 

I was thinking that the SPACE HOBO could be like the begger in binding of isaac, when you give him some money he gives you useful items.

I loved the hell out of Terraria. However, like so many above, it's end-game was lacking significantly.

Not only are the quests getting me psyched, the NPC's are too. I always enjoyed the new NPC's in Terraria. So having a lot of them in Starbound is also really cool. It gives you a sense of scale to what you're doing.

 

I'm looking forward to just about everything, really. Though, the top things would have to be the universe aspect itself, the space station, and the tech trees involving locating the necessary blueprints and such.

i'm REALLY liking the fact that you can catch almost any creature. i loved pokemon, and this is gonna be that + more

 

Own space base with LOTS of factories which creates LOTS of production to sell to earn LOTS of money (or just create imba-starship)
