What Ending Do You Want In Starbound?

I KNOW AN ENDING! NONE! NO ENDING! NEVER!

 

No ending would be fine with me. If I was forced to chose, I'd choose the Renegade ending...

 

Pffft the ending should obviously be to save the princess in hopes to get laid but never do thus we move onto the next game Starbound Bros 2! With an endless amount of sequels! ...

 

I will play the game in SP up until I finish the story.
What the ending is really does not matter, but I hope the story is good till the end.
It is not important because after the story is over I'm off to host a 24/7 server where 'Director mode' will drive the fun. I am going to have so much fun with DM.

 

IF there was a ending... Suggest that while the player is developed full of technology, some from the 5 aliens(three are still unanounced). he/she would come across a MASSIVE ship that spotted the player... suggest that maybe the aliens just realized that the Humans weren't completely destroyed... They pull your station in, putting you temporarily defending your self and try to save as many NPC's as possible from the boarding invaders. You would then enter the ship and continue through the ship and fight off the aliens, sentries, and maybe a few of the aliens expeiriments... But once you get to the core of the enemy ship you would attempt to destroy it while fighting 2 mini bosses. By the time you killed the mini bosses and destroyed the core. you will have to go through the ship once more and fight off the enemy while also getting through obsticals destroyed by the ship thats falling apart. once you get to the control room you come across the final boss! as the ship slowly falls and crashes into a planet, It could be your new homeplanet or some other planet, but if you come across the massive ship near a star, you will have a timer set until the ship hits the star... and you would imdediatly be teleported inside your station(if teleportation tech is aquired) the station would leave the collapsing ship. but then a stolen missle something like the one that put earth into ruins comes into use... you have the option to destroy the enemies homeplanet and get put into heated combat in fighting the enemies that come from its colonies. putting you to survive as long as you can. or you have the option to refrain from using the missle and continue to freeroam the universe. but with a small chance like I dunno like 1/10 of being attacked by the enemy. but if you want. you can put more research on how the missle is made and make multipule amounts of them... giving you a way to end it once and for all. putting that race to extinction. from then on you have the option to loot the ultimante weaponry the ruins of the race has left on its planet and become the most powerful race in the... galaxy... I dont know! but I doubt being the most powerful in the universe one thing for sure. but the other option is to put more matters into hands and travel to the core of the galaxy where research indicates that its a portal of some sort. when you enter it you become a god of a new universe. credits start rolling... and (if creative mode exists in the game) you would unlock creative mode... I think adding some cutscenes to this would make the Final scenes more interesting...

Starbound shouldn't have an ending. You should progress on and on. Maybe a miniboss/boss should be on occasionally, but what I think they should do is make it so randomly generated mobs and gear are on certain planets, and the further away from where you start there will be more dangerous planets with better loot generated so you have plenty of time exploring until you get bored of the game... which will never happen for me.

 

There is a storyline, and story missions. The ending would be the final story mission, where you have a showdown with whatever blew up your homeworld. Whatever it is should be about 50x the size of the screen. With lots of cannons.

 

I don't want an end. But if there was one, I'd want it to not make me have to stop completely- just an end to the main quests. And I want it to involve getting revenge on the race that destroyed your planet and ship, and then claim all there planets. Seems reasonable.

 

The OP is good, but I'd put in one thing.

The option to go back in time to before you did the final battle, or re-start the game in a "challenge mode" or something.

 

What I want is the whole galaxy to blow up, but before it hits me, I want a scientist swoop down on a sky dragon and carry me to some dimension, where monkeys throw barrels at you.

 

I think the ending should have you going back in time to kill off the unknown threat,causing your homeworld to never be destroyed...And no one would realise who you are,but you still have your items from quests.And I just realized this ending wouldn't work in starbound.

I wanna find those who responsible for my homeworld destruction and then kill them horribly. Hope the big boss will be some sort of Eldritch abomination

 

Your world blows up and you die along with it losing all your items and starting anew with nothing on another world MWAHAHAHAHAHA

 

If it were to have an ending... it would simply be a "Thanks For Playing" message and then the game shuts down.



Then suddenly a massive starship like the one you made in game lands outside your home and some Apex and Avians come out and bring you aboard. An Apex calling himself Tiy will reveal that the game Starbound was merely a test, and you have passed. They are taking you to the stars. The game has just begun...

 

You wake up crying with a urine stain in your bed, realizing it was all a dream.
