its honestly just a super common plot setup in any form of movie, from sci-fi to medieval.
(It was also pretty close to the core plot of ME1 for that matter, generic as possible as always bioware.)

Exactly. I wasn't really trying to create an ending for the game, i was actually criticizing in a passive way the current movies / films. Kudos for noticing it.

My ending wouldn't work on co-op anyways.

 

I hope the 'ending' would be that you got reborn and you can start in a new universe. I would hate if there is a real ending.

 

I hope the ending involves time travel in some way.

 

What about inventing a time machine, then going back in time to give your past self the time machine. Resulting in you not inventing the time machine and being stuck in a paradox for all of time?

terraria always seemed like the Sandbox game with summonable hard mobs (read : bosses).
no particular order or storyline to it. I got into hardmode quick one playthrough, and never fought the skeleton or entered the dungeon until like 3 real-life days later.

If terraria did have a storyline...

I think it will have an end to the main quest line. After that you can continue to raid villages, explore planets, kill creatures, craft awesome stuff and do sidequests.

At the end, you can choose to either kill, team up, or let live the final boss.
Now listen carefully guys. The devs too.

If you kill the final boss, the whole galaxy will explode in a red explosion.

If you choose to team up with it, all of the galaxy will detonate in a green explosion.

If (ooh so excited) you decide to let it live, the entire galaxy will collapse in a blue explosion.

Best ending ever. And goes along with every storyline you choose.

 

If there will be an ending then it should be an incredibly spectacular one, with a cliffhanger that makes you want to keep playing Starbound.

you shoot/stab/explode the end-boss in that c*nt it calls a face.
end of story.
everyone lives happily ever after- or they dieded.
the end.
you can explore the galaxy as you wish past this point.

The only good thing about ME3's ending is the pretty colours :drool:
