IF Starbound had an end game, what ending would you want?

My ending would be you go back to your space station, to find it empty and on a computer theres a distress signal (seed for a world). You land and find a base empty, when you leave you see all your allies you saved/helped (and carried) outside with some of the aliens that destroyed your home planet (Alderaan). Then they start attacking you in huge waves, as you see how long you can survive. when you die maybe go to a cut scene that reveal the deep plot why you allies are against you.

If Starbound had an ending? That would be strange if a free-roam world did that, although FO3 did...

If it had an ending, I would want it to end in a way so spectacular that it made me WANT to beat it again instead of just forgetting the game and never playing it again.

The devs are aiming to make Starbound a game with no end-game. And if it does have a special end-game quest or something along those lines, it really shouldn't prevent you from playing on that save file again. I hate games like that, and there's no reason to not be able to play on that save anymore.

That's the main reason I do every sidequest in games before I beat it, because they never tell you if it does just cut off, you die, or your story just plain ends for some strange reason, it just ENDS like your life in that game matters nothing anymore and you didn't do anything special afterwards. Think of Fallout 3, it just ended and said that you either died or saved the world depending on what ending you picked.

All the fallout games had endings where you couldn't play anymore(although dlc corrected that), while my friends hate that I love it. It's hard to have a video game that has continuous game play and not get repetitive and boring while having a game that's re-playable is a lot easier. I quit playing Terraria because theres no more updates and I feel I've done every thing in it, same will happen to Minecraft after they stop updating it.

We're speculating about everything already, that's the point of this forum, to let off steam and ideas.

I didn't know every FO game did that...It's very true that Terraria didn't have any updates but you also contradicted yourself there. You say you hate game that don't just randomly end but still yet, Terraria never ended and you wanted it to keep going on? D:

I don't want a game with so many aspects of gameplay to just end. I have fun with never-ending games where I can make up an ending for my character, then start over and play differently. I did it with skyrim. My first character left skyrim and headed south to other lands. He was done with Skyrim, and Akatosh had no reason to keep him.

The end will be simple....... Your computer catches on fire and you throw yourself on to save it... But u just catch on fire and pigmys eat you.

I am just asking what end game ending do you want to see, Starbound won't have a end game ending, most there will be a continuous ending (can play after) therefore it doesn't matter if the games out or not. There opinion should be the same.

No ending, por favor. The way the devs have the game going with creating a new home planet to house you allies and such is good enough for me, I don't want an end-all quest or anything. Just let me forever continue improving my home planet and explore.

You rebuild the ship, and the credits start rolling. When that same thing that almost crashed your ship comes towards you, you make a quick dodge and continue blasting off.
