    I personally would like to see NPCs that are able to act on their own for the most part, but have basic action with you, such as talking and trading. However, I would also like to see NPCs that you could have some control over, such as telling them to stay put, or to fight, or to follow you but not fight, that sort of thing.

    i dont think an "armt" would be so good, but maybe an NPC pet similar to Dungeon Defenders that fights by your side or gives off buffs. the reason for the DD ref is for the simple fact of it not being on the ground and possibly getting stuck somewhere.

    also....
    I would like the NPCs to defend themselvs if there are in some sort of danger. i dont mean like 10000 dmg to an enemy, but at lest shild itself, or do a low attack that has knock back to help ward off attackers.
