What was your favorite part about Starbound?

 

The building, I've always loved building in these types of games.

 

Building & exploration...

building an empire is never easy, and one reason i need to explore to find ideal spots & materials...

 

Same here. I have a close friend who doesn't like building so he just goes around farming whatever we need whilst I build. Very calming.

 

The exploration would be my best part of starbound!

 

By far the infinite exploration! Before Starbound I was playing Terraria with a friend of mine on Steam but once we (well, he since he moves really fast..) did all we could, a new world was in order. Thankfully with Starbound I can keep a planet and venture out when we need more things.

 

Just exploring new worlds - exploring is pretty much my favourite thing to do in any open-world game.

 

building was always what I loved to do in sandbox games, from when I first started building in minecraft I had fun with it, when I first went mining it was kind of boring
building a castle, building a space station, building a fancy hole in the ground
the only real problem is that I suck at building

 

I'm the kind of person that likes to explore, so there's that.

I also loved finding out bits of lore as well. It's interesting to read up on backstories and all that jazz.

 

The costumes and the building.

I like finding random costumes while I'm out collecting building materials (five finger discount on each!), and then it gives me something to do while the refinery is making things I can exchange for more Light Metal...

The lore has been a very pleasant surprise. I don't normally think of myself as enjoying lore, but I really did like reading the lore that was in game, enough to spend a day or two on Starbounder reading all the lore codexes =P

Making mods. I don't even play it anymore. I just mod these days.

 

Finding new weapons. Terrorizing towns I find with said weapons, that kind of thing. Now that I think about it... Maybe I'm not a good ambassador for humanity...

 

The lack of updates!

 

I guess I wasn't a good ambassador for the Florans either. What with me taking their houses so I could just have the blocks...

What kind of fanfiction do you write?

 

Finding clothes and instruments. Gotta catch 'em all.

I liked that part too! I liked reading the Florans codexes the most.
