What do you think we should expect as far as bosses go?

    What do you think they will be like/how often they will show up? Personally I think we will probably be fighting some sort of giant alien/robot/army of enemies (think blood moon) multiple times per planet.

    I don't know but one of the bosses better be a giant tentacled beast or someone seriously doesn't have a clue..

    I would love to see some space themed bosses, maby a alien ship or a alien invasion.

    I can't wait til the day when I'm fighting the hardest bosses on the threat level 100 planets. It sounds especially awesome that the bosses aren't just going to be the kind where you just rapidly attack it and then it dies, but rather one were you are forced to learn its tactics in order to succeed.

    You better imagine number of rant threads.
    I think that stecific bosses will spawn on specific planet when you find it for first time.

    Prepare for Anti-Doppleganger programming to activate in 3...
    In all seriousness, I hope each boss will be as creative as the Wall of Flesh.
    Problem with terraria was you could just shoot while spamming gravitation potions.

    Well, within reason. Procedual Generation can sometimes make an illogical monstrosity.
    Think Minecraft world generations.

    Looking at how the backstory of story mode begins with your home planet being destroyed by an "Unknown enemy", I personally expect at least Lavos-esque boss that either is either generated within the planet and will eventually destroy/ruin/damage it, or one that slowly approaches the planet and has to be killed before it lands and unleashes some kind of calamity. Or maybe a combination of the two. Those kinds of bosses don't lend themselves too nicely to fresh players, though, so perhaps that could be tied to the difficulty level of the planet.

    Not sure if it's been said already but I can only speculate at there being bosses (to some extent) procedurally generated, much like so much else of the game, so that you don't end up fighting the same boss on every other planet.

    Of course it may be difficult/there might be particular fixed bosses but I'm interested with where the devs go on this.

    i'd love to see 'the destroyer' appearing in some way in the game.

    I'm expecting to see some variants in bosses. Some could be huge robots, and some could be huge creatures or huge variants of creatures. But now that I think about it, it seems too cliche.

    I also would like something like the Eye of Cthulhu to be in this game because it is pretty unique.

    I hope that the bosses appear in the background, it makes fights so exciting... can't explain how they'd work but... wait i know! pretty much like Kirby: supperstar bosses, you have to beat them to keep exploring, and they are 'glued' to the background

    see? wham bam rock is in the background, in a different layer from the character... remember that wallpaper of the Tentacles planet? i'd really like to have a tentacle monster like that :T

    Bosses should be One-per-world, and only show up after a set amount of time you spend there. They spawn at a random interval of time; the longer it takes, the harder the boss will be.
    That's my opinion for now. What do you guys think?

    I'm hoping for at least one dragon/dino themed boss. Giant alien reptiles make everything better. Especially if I can kill them with fire. >:3
