But why would the precursor race put themselves among the faces of lesser races? I don't really expect egalitarianism from something that decorates their portals with tentacles..

Though I'm also suspecting a lore race, just not that one.

 

Well.

I know after the beta started people were bombarding the devs with various other bipedal humanoid animals like wolves, lizards etc and it was mentioned that they didn't want more of that. So I will assume that is still the case and it won't be another of those

I know as much as some people love the Avali (or w/e they are called) they won't be in officially.

I will assume a precursor race wouldn't place it's own face on the gate with the other races or would be on the top middle. Then again might not have been made by the precursors.

My theory is the race that built it did something to incur the wrath of the races or the precursors and were stripped of their standing and were possibly banished or fled to the dimension inside the portal.

 

hehehe you fools its dwarves proof: Honeydew Dwarves CAN fly that high (space) i mean think dwarfs coold be a cool possibility there racial abilities and diffrences would be 1)short stature able to fit through small places and 2)eat more food 3) are faster at mining with a pick and a possibility better with melee they sound a little op though so i wouldent count that 4th one...maby i should make a mod with this but it sounds like a cool idea for the new race
its been awhile since ive posted mutch but ive been at daytona for a week and ive been taking a break and ive watched alot of yogscast and played alot of WoW so i cant help but thin k about dwarves i could see a dwarf being like a fat short man with a cigar and a shotgun like with a russian accent or maby even country accent but i see russian accent fits them better or maby a irish or scottish accent.

 

There should be a snake/lizard like race. Based out of desert planets I guess, just because, ya' know, if you're like me from good ol' Arizona you know that kind of stuff comes out of a desert. They would be an Arabic kind of style of clothing and item design(not to be racist, just putting it out there, since that kind of attire is what is best for the dessert). It'd defiantly fill the little gap, since we have two mammal like species, an avian species, and a fish (right? Hylotl is fish right? ), along with flora and robots. A reptile would basically also kind of cover amphibian, since they, as far as we as people are concerned, pretty close (totally not biased off my own opinion ).

 

Remember races don't have those sorts of abilities, their armour does. I believe the Glitch already have the mining speed bonus planned

Avian: glide and flight
Glitch: Mining speed
Floran: Energy regen from sun
Apex: I forget, oh no wait, increased jumping/acrobatic ability
Hylotl: Increased breath and underwater breathing
Humans: Increased item slots
Novakid: Haven't heard about theirs

hmm maby just the short stature one would be there one racial diffrence and there armour gives them strength which also increases mining speed but not as mutch as the gllitches in my opinion there unique customization could be weight change how fat they are but you know the beards as well of course so the women of the dwarves dont have beards but still you can change there weight how fat they are but without the beards unless they go by LOTR logic but i think its gross for a woman to have facial hair

 

Oh man! Not at all! xD I totally must of blanked out and didn't see this. I basically tried to catch up the thread, so I skimmed the start to see what the first couple of things people said. You're ideas are totally right.

 

what about dog people who are like old timey with bulldogs and pit bulls and pugs and CORGIES GLORIOUSE. theyed be guns trench coats and could be baste off that pitcure of the dogs playing poker and smoking cigars there racial diffrence would be very hungry all the time now this might seem like a bad thing but they also have a nother slightly good racial ability can eat almost enything cant eat stone wood or ores but eat leaves sapling bones dirt and raw meat gives them more food than regular cooked meat good race idea?
