What Do You Think The 3 Unannounced Races Are?

Personally I don't like Glunaughts much. Also the devs would have to make tons of new armor and stuff, just for one races use... I'de rather have more human shaped races, with cooler head sprites.

And I don't generally think of turtles as "cool," while something like a tiger, or a lizard, can be.
I like my characters to be cool.

 

Theres got to be some type of martian-esque race. Its a game about space, what would you expect?

 

It's actually their heads which are the extra tile, torso and everything else would essentially be 'the same'. Besides which every armor is apparently going to be race-based visually anyhow.

 

Have you seen the Cerpine?

 

Ah, now that would be hard to include into the game.
But anyways, I guess if armor fits directly onto Glunaught bodies, I'm fine with it.
Although personally I won't be using that race, because honestly I just don't like the idea of being a turtle.

Yeh, but the cerpine would require making giant robot suits.

 

Nah the robot suit will count as normal player body.

 

• Mole People
• A stalky/hefty race of some kind
• Plant-derived organisms

I truly have no idea where to start since I don't think like the Devs lol. I do however believe that
the beginning races on release will please the demographic of Players. If not, too bad you can stick with humans.
Overall, despite whether or not you are what you'd like to be, Gameplay would be the deciding factor since you can always cover them up in armor.

 

A bug-like race would be interesting, as well as a plant-derived race as mentioned above.
Now waiting for the game to be released will be much harder.

 

I would love to see a fish race...

!! It would be so cool to kind of reverse the "Air Supply" and "Drowning" effects for that race, so that they can breathe underwater but not breathe on dry land, unless they wear some kind of astronaut hat filled with water!
I can imagine having to build homes underwater and have the option of terraforming my chosen home planet to be vast oceans we can live in!

Could even make it so that the astronaut water hat has an "Oxygenated Water" meter, so we have to return to the sea to refill the used water with fresh!

That's an interesting idea, although it could conflict with the pre-generated storyline the devs are creating. Also it would be kind of like buffing/debuffing races, which the devs said they wouldn't do. Which I understand.

I hate playing a game for the first time and being like: "What race should I play? What class should I play?" And then after you choose, you find out that you don't like either the race or the class, and have to restart.
Happened to me on Skyrim... I tried being an archer, then realized it was terrible later on, and had to restart.

Oh, and terraforming worlds into Oceans could be a massive way to grief.
"Ah, time to go back to that planet from earlier."
"OMG WATER, I CANT BREATHE!?!?!"

i would love to see a kitty cat race~ but we've seen that blue faced robot around, i hope that's a race as well! it seems rather sleek, just my style.

 

A Dragonian.

A reptilish, dragonish thing. With wings. (Then again, there is alerady avians. Scrap the wings! HRA!)
More in the way of that Glunaught.
Long tails. Humanish shape. A head of an dragon. Muscular body. A "primitive" race.

Rhah. Better stop before the fanboy of me starts to emerge.

 

Space sci-fi pretty much always has a reptile race, right? Then the machine race, then the mostly-evil race.

The specifics of the race design is what I'm looking forward to, honestly. A feeling; not so much a hook as a broad feeling that I would play the race when the game comes out.

 

Tiy just revealed another race via his twitter.... It's like a plant like race

 

Had to double check this, Tumblr account said "Character customization for avatars on the forums! " but, it is confirmed. Tiy posted this on his Twitter! At first, I thought maybe it was a fan-made creation, so I went ahead and checked :catface2:

im more interested in knowing when that thing will be on. making loads of different avatar would be sure to ease the wait for the game

 

Cat People and Shape-Shifters. It will be probably like that.
