oh, i see. that makes a little more sense, i edited in a reply to you in the post you just replied to, i didn't think you'd be so fast with a reply. also have i possibly heard Catootsie somewhere before?
'butt-hurt' is usually taken as unreasonably upset, or, err, 'being a pussy'. (pardon the language) I'm pretty sure being a nerd is usually thought of as a bad thing. Although some people may be okay with it, the word 'nerd' is used as an insult, and being labeled as a nerd pretty much means people think you have no life/ are a loser. You could have met me somewhere on the internet before, or seen my youtube channel maybe.
you know i thought the same... beside the fact i am not a nerd. I have a girlfriend and shes beautiful. (maybe a 8/10) But i rather play with this community than another (beside the u. 15 people. I dont like younger gamers o.o) I prefer nerds (even i didn't want you to call like that and it is not in a negative way like jinotya said) because you can play with them and dont have to be the coolest. Im fine with that.
its a reference to girls who dont game, just say they game in an effort to appeal to the male gaming community, im speaking strictly of spotlight hogs...battlefield 3 was full of them when i quit playing. not gamer girls, girl gamers, that's why i included an example, retro controller, square and N64 are words that stand out as someone who found an old NES controller and thinks it belongs to an N64, the trend of girl gamers vs. gamer girls is a widespread knowledge among many male gamers, specifically its a pain for those who frequent first person shooters and other games that punish first time players. gamer girl: a girl who enjoys playing video-games girl gamer: a girl who uses thier gender as a crutch & excuse for poor gaming. often shouting "help me!" when they cant stand against tough opposition, a damsel in distress that few want to save. this isn't an opinion, its an observation. and im not the only one who sees it.
Um. I think you're being a bit silly. The definitions of "girl gamer" and "gamer girl" are not written by you, they are defined by what most people *think* they mean, and i'd bet most people think they mean the same thing. Sorry. :c
Nuh nuh nuh, you realize this goes both ways right? "An attractive group of girls who are into ________, how about I pretend I know what I'm talking about so I can fit in with them?" "An attractive group of boys who are into ________, how about I pretend I know what I'm talking about so I can fit in with them?" You can't write a long post about sexist BS and when a girl is like, that's shitty, you think the answer is to continue what you're saying. I saw this picture the other day of a girl cosplaying a lesser known comic book character. Guys were saying she was just dressing like a slut pretending to be something, but she was a real character. You can't get on people's cases because they're trying to fit in, everyone does it, all the time.
what pisses me off about this is how it's always the fake girl gamer. Like it's something inherent to our gender that makes us do this, where as when guys talk about games and anime and whatever, they are always authentic. Why do you have to make it about gender? That's why it's sexist and that is why it's a shitty thing to say.
Guys and girls are different and that's just the truth. (unless we include ambiguous people... but uh, let's not) Some people take these differences to the extreme and discriminate via those differences.
Yeah, yeah, hormones etc. Sure there are differences, but they have nothing to do with a person's preferences or personality. That's just the truth. I guess you're trying to...actually I don't know what you're trying to do with this, but whatever it is it's sounding pretty judgmental.
Yes, I know that, but what I'm saying is that other people don't know that and that's probably why they discriminate. Ambiguous as in intersexual is what I meant. :p Yeah, I didn't mean to offend anyone, just making a suggestion on why other people might discriminate on another's gender.
