What completely useless thing do you hope is in Starbound?

I'd love to be able to collect little pretty-useless things too. Like different kinds of bugs, fish, plants, etc.

 

Useless items?
Hmm...

Nothing. Literally nothing as an item. As in, you can pick up a Nothing. It takes up space in your inventory but doesn't have a sprite. When you examine it, it says something along the lines of "There's nothing here."

That or air.

 

A mechanical foot.

But no pony corpses, that would be disturbing.

But frag, air is useful. You need it to like, breathe. If Id want something pretty yet uselss int he game Id totally go with a scarf or something. Maybe even one of those white and red fox masks. Theyre really freakin cool to wear. I even got one IRL, its just cheap plastic, but it seems to have a terrifying effect on kids (and even some adults!) when worn.

 

I want to be able to dance, wave, sit, lie down, poke, smile, laugh, shake my fist, and mime yelling. Emotes, to be short.

first off, it is pointless if you kill the man who attacks you.
secondly, I've been searching for a sad version of that face forever. can I love you just a little bit?

 

Bu if you kill the man it does serve a point,
The point of sick, self satisifying entertainment...
...then again that's every other item that's been listed in this thread.

A Wanderlust activation key....

 

just the item. no code.
just a key shaped item in your inventory reading "apparently this activates something called 'wanderlust' "

 

I would pay currencies in terms of hats for it. They are of the same value.

If it has one use, it is that other people will know you are not interested in social interaction at that current time.

Hmm,maybe an Apple product could be a useless item...
Or would it be an enemy? The deadliest nemesis known to the robotic race

 

They should add an NPC called Steve from Apple.
He sells copies of popular weapons at ridiculous prices and the only difference is all the weapons are white/silver and have a little apple logo on them.
Buying a weapon is like buying an Ipad, it is not necessary, nor is it the best, it is just to show you can afford one.

 

Although,if he is mortal,his life wouldn't "flash" before his eyes (bad joke-pun thing)
