What completely useless thing do you hope is in Starbound?

Or something like that.
Here is my reason...

Kids, it is the only way for Gangnam Style to disappear from the universe!
To incorporate it into most likely most popular game ever made...
Everyone will know about it!
Then it will get old!

The ability to cloak my range weapon shots with cool projections. Like cats. I could shoot cats at people.

 

i want a fish that you can hit things with.

 

I want a duck that chases me around and screams "QUACK" continuously until I give it some food.

Each time I give it food it is satisfied for less and less time until the duck continues screaming at you even if you feed it.

The point? There isn't one. Hence why I want it.

 

Making bread, making bread crumbs, which are blocks, and make trails with them.

Eventually animals eat them.

I would like an "Onhanger"
Don't know what it is? Don't worry, me neither. (Story time!)
So, me and my friends play Dungeons and Dragons, and I'm usually the one writing down the loot, carrying all the gold etc.
One time, after I had missed a session because I was sick, one of my friends had been the "loot-master". in the next session, I take inventory, marvelling at the horrible handwriting of my friend. Near the end of the list, the item "onhanger" was listed. Alerting the others to this bizarre discovery, the DM exclaimed: "WHAT THE F- IS AN ONHANGER?!", none of us had an answer.

So, the Onhanger is essentially a random item, but with the name onhanger. A random torch that doesn't stack with the rest? its an Onhanger. The tooltip would read "What the f- is an onhanger?" and the item would be unable to be used. (torch onhanger would be unplacable etc.)
Any random item could be an onhanger, onhanger is everything, but also nothing.

 

While it was quite amusing to read this, I have the feeling such worthless item would annoy the living lights out of me.

 

Yes, but if you drop it, it dissapears. It is only an onhanger if it is in your inventory. If it is not in your inventory, it is not an onhanger, and thus nothing.

 

Coffee ... I would just like coffee. Or a speed drink that someone can make a texture pack out of it

 

It could still be used for bragging rights via pics, so you have to make it drop everywhere, then disappear when you sort your inventory/drop it/grab an item to replace its slot.

 

Isn't that what the IRC is for?

What about making the flashlight beam purple or some other dark color that would ve pretty useless

Would not mind terraria style tombs stones and by terraria style i mean able to be picked up / edited

Flashlight must NOT be useless. Otherwise we couldn't explore caves or dark places.
