What Boss Would You Want To See In Starbound?

A golem of some sort, made out of minerals or fragments of earth/stone/crystal/gems etc, and have it's limbs separate from it's body ^_^

 

I would like to fight a Robotic Ice worm which has been shut down millions of years ago, but there is a conveniently placed switch in an ancient ruin which you turn on.
This is the text I expect to see "You see a lever on the wall, it reads 'ON/OFF' it is currently in the 'OFF' position. Do you wish to turn it on?" (turns on) "The lever breaks, and the ground starts shaking violently"
Something like that.

Quadraxis would make an awesome boss, obviously name him something else and change him a bit, maybe Triaxis or something along those lines, but I'd love to see something as big as him

This is from one of Tiy's IAMA entries. So, it looks like we'll have plenty of bosses to fight!

 

A boss that consumes/swallows you and you have to take it down from the inside and escape.

Also. Dr. Robotnik.

 

I bet this idea could be combined with a Tentacle Planet so easily... A common use for Tentacles is to grab prey & stick it in the Mouth after all.

I would like to see a giant gray robot that shoots rockets at you.

 

Clearly Welsh Pixie will be a recurring boss battle. She floats around on a little cushion while sipping a cup of tea (without the pinky extended, the fiend!) raining down firey death upon your world. Clearly Welsh Pixie is far too powerful to actually be harmed, so to defeat her you must attack her teacup, forcing her to go home to get a new one.

 

I'd go for any ninja from Naruto.

That, or Caesar from Rise of the Planet of the Apes. (remember: Ape civs! )

I would like to see as boss the leader of those 'Unkown enemies who destroyed your planet'. However it would make a 'Final Boss' and that's not what the devs want I think, that the game ends. Doesn't need to be a Final boss . I haven't read much of this topic yet, so big chance someone also tought about this...

What about a giant planet that the entire thing in of itself, including its tree, hates you. that'd be a pretty interesting boss

I think it'd be cool if a planet was a boss. Like a random chance. It could be that tentacle background and there could be static tentacle monsters everywhere. You have to dig down into the planet (skin, meat and bones) to get to the core (heart) and blow it up. Defeating this boss would maybe show a mini-cutscene that shows your character going back to the space station with a huge sack of loot.
