What Boss Would You Want To See In Starbound?

I'd like to fight a tainted clone of yourself. The fight could start from looking in an evil mirror, it's overused I know but that's because it works. Perhaps a broken test tube could be done instead of that.

The shadow form of yourself would also change to whatever weapons you switched to in battle as well, to keep one from starting the battle disarmed and then just pulling out their world-cleaving sword, or laser gun, etc.

This would mean that the more you souped up your character to battle, the worse the fight would be. You'd be your own worst enemy, quite literally.

 

Hmm... you've got a point there. But I still think some cameo bosses would be cool...

Any large boss that's part of the background, maybe a Hydra or something.

A giant squid is fine too.

 

i really wanna see the end-game quest boss, and then possibly fight a whole planet?

 

Ya know, I've been observing you much against my own will through all these threads commenting s*** about squids everydamnwhere. And you know what? YOU KNOW WHAT? This game has no damn need of giant squids! What this game needs is ENORMOUSLY GIGANTIC APOCALYPTIC SQUIDS WITH UNEXPLAINABLE LASER AND TELEPORTATION ATTACKS.

Hope you can live with that.

yea! except..so it's not just random shooting and slicing like..maybe have glowing chunks you need to explode through attacking to reveal the main body so you can start cutting down it's hp, just an idea though.

 

There are already procedurally generated bosses, but I think alongside those there should definitely be some cameos that most gamers will recognize. Maybe a nod towards Bowser or Ganon from the old SNES days.

Unless GLaDOS is in a facility, she would be pretty useless except for killing you with words.
