We need everything in this game. I mean sure humans have reached space travel, but every planet and species is at their own time as well.
Anyways, I just want some sweet ninja swords and I'll be happy.

Someone already said it but please go easy on oversized and spikey designs. It's been done too much in games.

I'd like to see laser versions of rapiers/fencing swords, polearm weapons, flails, mace/morning stars, whips, nunchaku, sai, and quarterstaves.

Pretty much any melee weapons that are made out of laser stuff. Like lightsabers.

Give me a spear version of that and I'm good to go.

 

I think we all know that we want to be able to smack someone round the face with some form of spaceship part! Am I right? No....? Okay then I guess?

 

I''d say Chainsaw or Powerfist.
Or a storm bolter.

 

A portal gun. Of course you'd have to slap on a chainsaw with that, to class it as a weapon.

The BFG from Doom is also a favourite, I'll have to agree with you on that one.

 

I would like to be able to craft a powerful automatic plasma bow that can fire up to 5 shots/arrows... or a very fast handgun, actually faster than those in Terraria, but equally efficient in terms of damage. And, most important: a melee weapon with the lightsaber energy blade but shaped like a mighty knight sword!.

Not very original but always awsome to see!

Also, an oversized squareish sword with elemental properties that can be dismissively slammed into the ground would be nice.
VOLCANIC VIIIYPAAAH! Elemental weapons in general would be pretty boss.
