What are your characters' personal theme songs?

As much as I love the Starbound soundtrack, there are quite a few songs that I'll have to listen to while exploring the stars.

I guess I'll narrow it down to this would be my characters themesong (human).



And this is what they'd listen to in their ship while cruising hyperspace.

Personally, I think it's kind of stupid to pick an existing song that doesn't belong to you and assign it as your theme song. :/

 

Thanks for your opinion, honestly we are not really putting the music choices in game. We are picking songs that we feel will better show our yet created characters personality. I personally do not claim I made any of the songs chosen.

I'm not really disapproving this thread specifically. I just noticed that picking a song that doesn't belong to you as a character's theme happens a lot.
I have nothing against all of you. Hell, I love all of you!

So it's really just a pet peeve , like for me when people respond to threads with assumptions and guesses instead of a link to real information.

 

Both of these posts really confuse me.

Music can convey a lot of information and emotion, so it's one of the easiest reference points to use when fleshing out a character idea. It's also a way for us to share our personal tastes with each other : )

Does it annoy you when movies and video games use previously recorded music in their soundtracks? If so, that's your choice and it's cool with me...I'm just saying that's all we're doing with our characters.

 

The problem is that most of you pick songs which are already a theme of something. I'll clarify my statement, I don't really care if you pick some random song you like, like a Two Steps From Hell song.
But I do care when I see a song that belongs to a game, movie, anime, or whatever being used as YOUR character's theme.

No, because I only think it's stupid when you use music that is already in use by something.

 

The obvious choice for any adventurer ready to blast across the universe and hunt down dem' baddies!
