What are your base floor plans?

It's simple, the base is in the core of the planet, and whatever is less deep is less protected, until we reach the surface, which is protected. Very. I have to fortify a whole planet. Boy, this will take a while.

 

now that's ambitious. If I end up on your server. I will take THAT planet off the list of planets to torch.

 

Yes. Implying there are any anti-mob and player cannons, I will install as much of them as I can on the surface. Then, I will start digging deeper and deeper... To the very core. If you can power bases with heat, guess what the base is powered with.

So I will quickly do some explaining. Red=Ladder Light Blue=Stairs Blue=Walls Green=Doors Yellow=Mining
We see the guard towers to the west and east, hopefully keeping out most hostile mobs from what will be tech testing land or food growing areas... Maybe food growing tech testing land?
Next we see the storage zone and a mining area off to the side for possible rail systems to cart my materials out of the mines.
On the other side is the 'Dark Technology Room' where I will develop evil ninja/pirate tech and take over the galaxy!
In the center we see and NPC hub for all the people I 'convince' to join my cause (unsure of what it will be as of now).
Next we see the main tower. Not all is shown, only the first bit of the tower. However the key shows:
1F: Entrance: So kinda self-explanatory. Where people will enter the base after getting into the tower (presumably the guard tower will have doors. I forgot to add them).
2F: Crafting Zone: Again pretty self-explanatory. It's an area where I can build some early tech and basic tools.
3F: Weapons Locker/Armory: So this is where I will store my handheld death lasers.
4F: A lookout spot just over the guard towers. This will let me quickly see and approaching armies from the main building.
5F: Research Lab: Where I will research and build regular non Dark tech. Close to the sun because science needs proper lighting!
6F and Roof: A massive eye will hover here allowing me to stare across the land and convince people wearing rings to come and join me.

im going the expansive catacomb under the wooden hut in the woods.. the Npc's will mutter to passer-by spacers never to venture near the hut.. theres an evil mad scientist doing crazy junk with the ore they ship.. essentially im going to become a Npc to make people give me a book thats on my dresser cause im freaking too lazy

 

I'll just build my base and see where I go from there

I have to be honest, when I first read the title of this thread my initial thought was "Most likely a wood floor at first. Then I might upgrade to some kind of metal or stone..."

 

Wouldnt the floor plan of a 2d side scrolling game be a straight line?

My fine base shall be situated on a planet of extremely low temperatures and frequent blizzards!
It will have a destroyed village as a guise for my real operations!
It will also have a heavily fortified security system in the base, and said fake village!
NO ONE WILL ESCAPE FROM THE "Gentleman's Respite"!

Was going to create a thread on this, but then I found this one

Scratched this out at work, then took a bad picture with my phone, and used an online editor to add the text...sorry it's so rough, I'll clean it up in photoshop later and make it a bit prettier ; )

This will be my first main base, want a mountain background with cooler color tones (blues/whites/grays...looking for a chilly tundra like planet).

 

A Massive museum that will cover the entire world with elevators every two screens.

Think something like The Library in Doctor Who, but with Zoos, Botanical gardens, armories, farms...

 

The concept is a kind of mushroom tree. The right side is mainly for living and leisure while the left is for more technical stuff. The barn is really simplistic if just because we have no idea what it'll take to care for creatures we catch. I put a 'Sun Room' at the top since my character will be Floran, and I like to think she'll enjoy a room to relax in and enjoy the sunlight while being in the comfort of her own home. Lots of soft pillows and such since it'll mainly be a room for resting and relaxing in.
