I was about to buy Spore again (I used my 5 downloads) but then I remembered how boring the game got after 2 hours.
Other than that, Civ 5 and Rift. In fact, I just finished steamrolling Washington as Caesar!

Oh the glory of DRM. I hope you weren't seriously considering giving EA more money after the DRM in the game you bought from them has made it nonfunctional.

No, never. I hate DRM. I had forgotten about it until I looked up Spore again, at which point I made my way to a torrent website.

I've been replaying the Paper Mario games, starting with Super Mario RPG since that's what spawned the series.

I've been looking for a game that's similar to Terraria, but I can't find anything. I have Junk Jack, but I want something to play on my computer instead of my iPod touch. Does anyone know of a game that's similar to Terraria and focuses more on exploring and combat than building?

    ForgottenSpork Void-Bound Voyager

Aside from Darkout, there isn't much to be had except for bad clones. This is a good article to start with, though. http://www.squidoo.com/games-like-terraria#module160632693

    Also check out clonk. http://www.clonk.de/

The following question is for both Darkout and Clonk. Is there a way to 'beat' the game, or do you just play until you get bored? Terraria has top tier gear and Junk Jack has achievements and collectible crafting recipes. I want something to keep me motivated to play, something that Minecraft pre-release didn't achieve.

Well, my comp can handle some stuff, but I get internet from a watermelon and it sometimes disappears, so downloads and stuff take AGES. And I don't have that much time. 3: But I'll definitely check those games out!

  14. natelovesyou

    natelovesyou Oxygen Tank

Well...if you buy them, then you'd have the physical copies (unless you get 1/2 on Steam) so you wouldn't be downloading them. ;) But yes, they're so worth it. Especially the first one, big time. Such great a great world and story, and great gameplay.
