What are you going to be putting in this Spaceship?

Science is overrated.

 

One of my decks will have a swimming pool. Nothing like a nice swim while the ship is in FTL mode.

 

Even if it is only cosmetic, I totally want the option of putting blocks on the outside of my ship like lego. Make it look like the Death Star or the Enterprise or something. Come to think of it, that would be an interesting combat mechanic, where enemy shots would blow blocks off of your hull.

I think I will fill the front of the nacelles with lava and the back with water. Because Star Trek.

 

Don't get me wrong, but the bathroom is the most accessible place in your ship. Plus, to go anywhere else, you'll have to go thru it.

How are you going to call you ship? Anti-Visitors Vessel!

Industrial and research equipment to make an all-in-one exploration and exploitation vessel. Any extra space beyond what's needed to make that work well is going to be well-organized storage.

 

Has tiy remarked what will be used as storage in this game? I've heard someone refer to chests, but that doesn't seem very appropriate with the genre. Unless maybe you start out with chests and can eventually upgrade through various storage devices.

 

I'm going to fill it up with all sorts of stuff. Nothing particular, no hoarding though.

 

Storage devices we have seen in live streams include (so far): boxes, barrels, crates, chests, lockers, and I think you can store stuff in the little tents they've shown as well, cause stuff popped out when they broke one. As a rule, if logic says, I could store stuff in here, it seems you can.

As mentioned before, this is only a tier 3 spaceship, I assume later tiers get much bigger. I'm thinking I could have a restaurant, a statue museum (All the impervium peoples), maybe an armory, a storage area, a bedroom, an art museum (to show off fancy stuff looted from dungeons), a hangoutery, a theatre room. The possibilities are ENDLESS!

 

Agreed. Every self-respecting Hylotl needs to have a swimming pool aboard their spaceship. (At least this one will)

 

Going up the stairs next to the bathroom isn't really the same as going through the bathroom... There will be doors, I presume!

 

Wow! They really have though of so many different aspects to this game. It truly is going to be easy to put 100+ hours into this game, which is something I don't do with many games. I think the last one was Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

 

I wonder if you can put water on ships? If so, water. Lots of water. Just flood the lower decks and call it a space pool.

 

Since you can place regular foreground blocks on the ship, I imagine water would be no different.

I like this idea a lot, actually! Sounds really fun. I just hope water and furniture interact nicely- it's not quite so fun for the water to remove decorating possibilities.

I didn't really read much of this forum so someone probably said this but i think the best way to deal with extra rooms in the space ship would be organize it by biomes/tiers like a room for each type of storage of material that is what I would at least attempt to do.

 

Cages, lots of cages.

Probably some people and animals to fill them, too.

Maybe a swing-set if I happen to feel particularly adventurous while decorating.

 

im happy they are doing something with some upgradable ships since the space station is out for now
