So I decided to get back in full stop in starbound before kinda getting a bit steamed with trying to manage gunplay. Don't exactly have aiming down to a T and end up getting killed more often then not. But at one point out of the blue after I had build a house trying to make my spawn point safe on the planet, I was suddenly spawning miles away, and at that point the straw broke and I figured I'd come here and see why that may have happened. How does the spawn mechanic pick it's target? Is there a way to reset your spawn point to be where you want it to be? Well I say spawnpoint, but I suppose beam point might be more accurate...
Sounds like a bug. The beamdown point shouldent move at all (or be moveable by a player). This may sounds silly, but are you sure your still on the same planet? Otherwise its certainly a bug.
Nope I ran around the planet for a bit and found the fire I had built. I tore it and the structure down wondering if it had blocked my spawn point or something, but even then I kept respawning in that new location, but I was just worried about setting up a second time only to find myself spawning somewhere else.
