What are some useful pets?

Most pets are pretty trashy and die in like 2 hits to everything that exists


Right now i found this Googly mech thing to be pretty useful in finding underground caves cus he tends to float towards them and light up the area

also he can phase through all walls so he doesnt get stuck on anything.

he has a ghost collar on that pacifies him so he never dies to anything

(are ghost collars supposed to pacify things? I think because hes already a ghost it became an oblivious collar)



i was mining in the dark and he found me that cave



so whats your favorite useful pets?

 

I have a Fennix (Firefox) with a health collar and it does pretty well.

 

I never bothered catching anything other than giant birds...

This one helped me defeat The Ruin boss. It aggroed mobs while it kept hitting the boss, I'm surprise it survived.

 

ThatThunderCookie has a youtube video about his choices. It is a little slow to start but persevere with it...

 

There's the slender man thing,it has the highest damage,but it stays in one spot and doesn't follow you unless there are enemies nearby,so only useful as guard dogs

 

I have to say the Lumoth with an oblivious collar is genius, probably my favorite of those in the video.

Personally, I like to have a Moontant follow me around because I'm a sick freak in this game. ;D

 

I prefer the sentry bot from the apex missions with an oblivious collar
