What a /terrible/ holiday gift!

I would LOVE to get rid of/sell the slingshots. I don't use them at all, it's a waste of a space until I can get rid of them... I think you should be allowed to put anything but the hoe, watering can, ax, and spade in the shipping bin. That way you don't need to wait until 2 to sell off the rings/weapons...

 

Really? Oddly I get those little things every season it seems. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

 

Robin gave me some stone in my 1st game. I've kinda hated her ever since.

 

The downward decline began. I think I may have gotten something equally annoying once.

 

The Tea Set is the only worthwhile gift from the Feast of the Winter Star because it's the only unique item. The rest of the items stop being particularly impressive after the second year.

 

That was the first Winter Star gift I got. I thought it was very nice, and placed it on my otherwise-unused dining table (where it still sits - though the table and chairs have been upgraded).

Ffft. Man...I have been sticking my slime hutch's leggies out for years trying to get that witch's attention.

I've been really wanting to see if one can get black slime eggs if you have the black slimes...or if they still register as the other types of slimes. Yeah I could probably just check game data stuff but thats never all that exciting. :I

 

Meanwhile, I build my first ever slime hutch, stock it, and within two weeks it's been cursed. Master trolling, Witchie-poo. Well played.

Totally agree with this. Getting the tea set from Haley was what finally got me to make friends with her. Attitude, attitude... tea set? Huh. All right, Malibu Barbie, you get a fresh start with me. (Yes, I know, Haley's quite nice at the core, but getting past the pink frosting is somewhat of an effort at first.)

 

I've never gotten anything I disliked at the Winter exchange...YET. Some were cute, some I liked, when the kids get me they haven't given me anything weird yet (which actually worries me - Jas giving decent presents??)

I think the only gift I would truly go *gee thanks...NOT* is something like bread or copper ore

 

On my current save Pam gave me a tea set for my first year. I also got a ruby from Alex (which I decided was a ruby necklace because I like jewelry), and last year Willy gave me a bunch of warp totems for the beach, which I'll never use. I'm in Winter now so we'll see what I get for my final Winter Star gift on this save.

 

If Jas gives decent presents, Shane or Marnie are probably helping her decide what to give.
