It's nice to see you all. Old Terraria fan and new Starbound fan. The similarities to Terraria are what grabbed my interest but the differences are what made me stay.

This game is going to rival Terraria in popularity, if not just absolutely blow it out of the water. It has everything I've ever wanted out of an adventure game, random levels and loot and monsters. Without the need to spend hours farming said monsters like the Diablo series. Which should have just died after 2 and made me not waste money on two collector's editions of 3. Welcome to the forums, Spiro! I'm glad you admitted that Starbound and Terraria have differences. While they are similar, it just irritates me when people act like they're sequel and prequel, or the same game.
