The Floran ship has too much metal. Maybe make it wooden, like the ship itself is a big tree trunk. Florans are supposed to be primitive.
They actually steal tech from other races and make their own, hence the use of another races ship but with plants and flowers. If anything it needs to be more like the original ship they took from the avians.
