I like the contrast between the dark and brighter tones, most of the webpages go for a very cheerful, bright-alldawaytonarniaandrainbows kind of theme, so the starbound webpage it's actually quite refreshing to see . That said, i could see some little details being added, like a custom mouse...arrow...thingy (don't judge me please) ,or some changes to the buttons on top to make them a little brighter- and sci-fi themed.
Yeah it's black with white on and that makes me think of Spaaaace, the overall theme is very attractive and easy on the eyes. I say don't change a thing!
Make it so there are 8 themes, one for each race and one that is the same as normal so you can chose!
If you do make a new theme, make it an option. So if people dislike it, they can just... turn it off.
Or maybe a different part of the page for each race and their ships etc.? it'd also be cool if the background was an epic, huge war between the races and them trying to get their planet back O_O
I'm all for a website makeover, just not until beta is released. That being said, I'm not opposed to keeping the website the way it is currently either.
I actually prefer light text on dark background (wish all the internet was like this...). So, as long as I can still use this or any other dark theme I don't mind if you make optional lighter themes. Or at least make this one an option.
I like change, but I like when things are good as they are =) I like this theme, and sort of feel that a change of such would come off as sort of forced. I'd vote for it to stay like this =)
I really like that theme, it doesn't need a change. Good, right-toned darkish theme suits Starbound well and does not hurt eyesight a lot, looks much better than brighter-colored ones. It just looks great. About cursor-replacement, I'm against... I don't think childlish option like that would help or give some extra look on that. Default cursors looks quite good when used on this site, so I don't think extra-sweeteners are needed. The forum has to be functional at first and changing cursor won't give an improvement here.
