M'aiq wonders, why is the Apex colours limited? It is either full red, or gray with stripes.

 

Why is it weird that they have no tail? Because they are "birds"? My definition of "weird" is far closer to "a bird with mammaries":

 

I find it disturbing that 'nothing' is an option for both pants and shirt. At least the humans have the decency to keep some clothes on.

 

More customization options plox!

 

It's definitely cool!
(In fact, I'd go to sleep at 5.00 AM yesterday today, cause I was waiting till it released)
My suggestions:

• Add eyes color option
• Add idle poses/personality
• Moar colors!
• Moar clothes!
• MMOOOAAARRR!!!

 

I think it's a bit laggy. Need optimization or a flash version. I can do that stuff in Flash. Flash version can also sync with a server.

 

So far the only floran hair (Foliage) options I like are the second, which is the one on the selection button, and , because the rest are just too big and daft looking I think.
The only Avain plumages I like are the one that looks like a chocobo, and the one that looks like really angry eyebrows
I was heartbroken when the fish people had the option for 3 side fins, but no option for orange fins, so I cant have a humanoid space Mudkip :c
Im not too fond of the Apex designs at all, and whilst the human options for hair and clothing are good, nothing grabbed me like the options I listed above.
All of the Robot heads are good, except we are missing a terminator skull, and I actually laughed out loud at the gender options

So, TL;DR we just need MOAR options for everything, an RGB value colour changer, and hopefully more races (Crystal people and mantises from FTL plz?)

 

I agree with many of the things said here, some of them are:

- Numbers for parts/colours, in order to keep track;
- Other Floran hairstyles, less feminine ones;
- More Human hairstyles.


Other things I'd like,

- The ability to colour the shoes;
- For the love of all that is sacred, I'd like to see some beards in game. Human faces cannot be customised, so we're "stuck" to change them by modifying the hair. I believe beards would help in this matter, making characters even more unique. There's no need to make uber Gandalf beards that would very likely get in the way, just a couple of styles small enough to fit into a helm.

They are also a potential fire hazard.

 

The lack of shorts disappoints me. I can't make the Pipo monkey from Ape Escape, like I originally planned.

I think I can still make Specter though.

 

Well think about the shortcomings this way: Its not even released yet, the game will get updates for a really long time after it is, and worst case there's a good chance you could just mod in whatever appearances you want.

 

I like it... The only real problem I have is that there could be more colors available.

Other than that I think it's great, the more options the better.

Also, if there will be more colors for it (which would be awesome), what I wanted to check the most was pure white and pure black. I know that more colors isn't a big problem since you can change the colors in any image editing program, but pure white (ffffff) and pure black (000000) would be very nice to have for all the color options.

 

Information needs to be presented as to what each race is. I mean, it doesn't even say what the names of them are, and then ontop of that it could give a short backstory.

Also: Colour palettes!

Otherwise brilliant though, I love how compact it is.

Now that you said the I've come to realize that every race is the complete opposite of what it should be. Florans are "gentle" but are very violent,Avians are religious, but believe they have been pretty much beaten on by their gods,Robots are super advanced machines,yet live in a primative lifestyle,Apex are monkeys,which are not very advanced in real life,but have huge machines and labs to work in,and Hylotl are Asian fish, which is a main source of food for japan and many other Asian countries.

And about humans?Humans are just too cool to be any opposite of themselves...Unless their completely peaceful....OH GOD!Humans can't use weapons!!

 

from what i have seen of the character generater it still has a few bugs in it like some others mentioned only showing one arm or just the character but no hair/foliage ofc it is still just a beta so it will likely be improved

 

Even though I know that this is a limited selection of things for your character that they already have done, and I know that they will add more before release with still more things kept for only the full game, and they will most likely add even more post release with updates. I can safely say I am at least satisfied enough that I would be happy with the look of my character already for any race or gender.

Take my money and take it now. For if you do not... ... ...it will be waiting for you when you are satisfied, can declare it finished and the game is released. Take your time and make it shine.

 

Er- where are you getting that from? We have more land food than you think :P
