Weapon Update IMPORTANT*

So, once I placed the beacon down and the penguin "boss" came to my planet, I noticed one thing that was quite odd. With an iron hunting bow I was able to 5 hit a boss type monster. I'm not sure if this is normal but personally I'd like it to be buffed. Thanks .

 

So on my first planet in this new stage, after the update, I found a floran village, one of the guards were murdered by a bird (no surprise), and it dropped a sword. This sword has a DPS of 107 compared to my starting sword, which has a DPS of 10. Note, THIS IS THE VERY FIRST PLANET.

 

Also, I'm one hitting mobs on a level 2 planet with my bow aswell...

 

Yea, I don't know what's up but I feel like there is balancing issues

 

It's been patched on Steam. But with the update now iron weapons are worse than the starting weapon, not sure if this is intended or accidental.

 

Looks like you got ethier really lucky or the hotfix needs a hotfix!

 

I think it was a mistake. Best thing to do is check Tiys twitter.

 

well my lvl 25 sword got 16k dps that's a ittle too much i guess ^^

 

Steel Hunting Bow was 11k+ DPS. It should be fixed in this patch.

 

You have to start a new character to view the changes of the hotfix. It's in the patch notes.

This was AFTER the hotfix to nerf the weapons. As for the DPS, my starting sword has 10 dps, where as any crafted weapon from iron has 7. There is no incentive to even make an iron weapon now 0.o

 

You make an iron weapon to make the next tier.
It makes perfect sense that the starting weapon is stronger as it's an uncommon-rarity weapon. Hence the green border.

 

The only way to upgrade past your starting weapon is usually with a base weapon if im not mistaken?

However I see your point. It is a waste of iron early on.

 

Even the crafted weapons are "uncommon" so no that doesn't make sense.

 

New character is not required. My pre-hotfix Floran's weapons are all now scaled correctly. Iron bow no longer one-shots Tier 2 mobs and the best Tier 2 1-handed weapon is now rated at 20 dps instead of somewhere above 500 dps.

 

There is no reason for ANY weapon to be weaker than the starting weapon. Otherwise there is no reason to make said weapon. The nerf was fine he just overdid it.

 

I thought the way to upgrade past the "Broken Runewrath Sword" was with a crafted iron weapon. At least this would make sense to me considering the Runewrath is Broken, where-as you are actually crafting a brand new sword out of the iron.

because just 48 hours ago , ppl about penguin ufo being too hard , i personally would start to ban any posts ta like "this is too hard , this is too easy"

 

Okay, I just murdered an entire floran village with an overpowered weapon the very first guard dropped.

So many balancing problems... this patch was suppose to fix the problems, not make new ones.
