Okay so, I noticed that there are no 1 handed weapons other than a knife and a short sword. this should not be the case, though I do understand that this is beta so they might already have the following wall-o-text in their plans, but as a loyal M&B player, and a cavalier in the D&D forgotten realms universe. It is my duty to propose an expansion of the melee weapons so that they all fit their names. as it is we have: Dagger-1h Shortsword-1h Sheidls-1h Broadsword-2h Short handled axes-2h Long handled axes-2h Hammers that look like long handled axes-2h Hammers- 2h Spears -2h -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- now currently each has some benefit over the other (larger damage per hit vs higher DPS, reach vs attack arc) what I propose is adding more to the 1 handed arsenal as well as the 2handed Broadsword> 1h, higher *typical* damage output than longsword, medium reach, better speed than longsword Longsword-1h > higher damage *typical* output than shortsword, slower speed, longer reach than broadsword larger attack arc than all 1h swords. Spears -1h so they can be used with shields, faster speed than pikes (two handed) roughly same damage as a longsword but with slightly better reach, same attack arc as current. Short handled axes-1h high damage output, slower speed, small arc, same reach as shortsword. 2h segment: Hammers 2h- >can crush through sheilds, same reach as spear, slowest attack speed of all weapons, high damage output, but lower than long handled axes Pikes 2h> longest reach of all weapons, slower attack speed than spear but higher damage output, arc same as spear (both are polearms) Long handled axes (2-handed axes)>2h, highest damage output of all weapons, can break through weaker blocks for reduced damage, same reach as hammer and spear, faster than hammer, but slower than claymore(2-handed sword) Claymore (2-handed sword)> Fastest 2h weapon, basically a better longsword but without the speed penalty, less damage than the 2-handed hammer, but slightly longer reach, largest attack arc of all weapons. this is my rough draft so far, i'll be adding to it overtime, but for now I'd like to keep it simple, we don't need maces and flails just yet. I'm just covering the basics of what's in right now.
Maces/Blunt one handed weapons, please. Make them possible to achieve high damage, but not as often and reliable as hitting for average/low damage.
