I need help on beating this boss, I have lost 10k pixels and wasted over 100 bandages trying to beat this boss god damnit.

It's so annoying :(, also i'm using Rubium armor (for the energy)

pulse jump, energy dash, jump over the top of the robot frequently

Attack the most after it charges, it will be unable to move for about 6 seconds
Also, make sure that you attack the rockets when they fire, they won't damage you if you destroy them and they explode.

Yea, another problem, when I try to shoot the rockets he charges at me at the same time so I either dodge the penguin mech thing and get hit by the rocket (or if im lucky I can shoot the rocket at the same time) or I hit the rocket and get hit by the penguin mech :/.

Yes, I have pulse jumped energy dashed and jumped over the penguin mech really frequently but the problem is that I have to attack it at the same time and then I lose my energy, thus I die due to the inability to dodge again :(.

Off-topic: I donated for the special penguin donor badge but never got it. How do you get it?

one thing I can't stress enough is the use of a shield. I probably wouldn't have gotten past most of the bosses without using a shield. Since the mechanics changed they absorb all of the damage at the cost of the shield's health. Try to avoid using the shield against attacks like flamethrowers, as they will deplete the shield almost instantly. But if he charges at you you can sit there and do absolutely nothing without losing any HP, assuming you raised the shield that is.

Shield to block his overcharge and charge attacks, pulse jump and energy dash to avoid the flamethrower and rockets.

Failed miserably, I just run out of energy after dodging and shooting so much and then I die.

You should try using a one handed sword with the shield after running out of energy.

Still no luck, the closest I got to winning was when he got 2 hp bars left :( im just going to do side quests now

edit: also wow all my achievements just registered today and I just went from a space hobo to a void-bound voyager o_O thx to the person who fixed this lol

    i used a 2h sword

it is easier to time it

in the first phase, destroy all of the rockets but stay a few feet away from the boss or it will punch you

when it goes to the wall to charge, face it and parry

then chase it and smack it with the sword a lot

it will then turn around and flamethrower you so only hit it a few times, and then energy dash to the other end of the area and use bandages or red stim packs as needed

when it does the overcharge thingy, sit in a corner and parry only when one of the hits gets close to you, otherwise do nothing

in the second phase, destroy all of the rockets until the boss goes to the wall, then parry the last rocket along with the charge

then pulse jump over the second charge and energy dash over to the wall and smack it with the sword a lot

    repeat until it dies

if you use violum armor nothing will hurt very bad
