Seeing all of the different weapon topics, I thought of making a topic for us all to contribute to a single thread. As the title says, this is thread is for Weapon Sprites, but feel free to post other sprites, as long as they don't stray to far away from this threads purpose. If you have no idea how to create sprites, here are some things you'll need Things you'll need: Gimp or Paint.NET (one of the two) The Weapon sprite sheet A tutorial should be up soon, but if anyone has one, I would appreciate it if you would share it. Remember, if you post another individual's work, give them proper credit.
This spot is reserved incase of the need. I'll start off. MPC The MPC in MPC stands for "Mini Plasma Cannon". This weapon dishes out massive damage at close-medium range(read as: reduces your enemies to glass and charred bones), but leaves nothing worse than a bad sun-burn at long-ranges. TT-23 "Hoplite" A fast-firing, Close-range Submachine gun. The TT-23 is nearly useless against heavily armored enemies, but it tears the flesh like butter. This gun chews threw a 50-round magazine in a couple seconds. Type-000 "Lance" The Lance is a Long-Range, beam-type weapon. Unlike most beam-weapons, the Lance is independent of the Standard Energy pack and uses a single Micro pack. This Micro Pack holds enough charge for 7 individual blast or 1, fully charged blast. Keep in mind, firing this weapon more than once from the same position is an easy way to be spotted. M-21 "Mediziner" It's a Medigun. Nothing fancy here.
I like your use of actual manufacturer index prefixes. TT-XX would be Tokarev, Type-XXX something Chinese made and M-X is most likely a Yankee-gun. However.. I kinda expect them to have more SciFi names like ArmTech 2500 or MarsCorp-34 'Talon'. This is my own peronal preference as a intergalactic gun nut. The names are the least important thing anyway. I'm gonna draw something for your thread as well.
I put these into the player resources thread, I don't know where they ended up at, but here's a few more updated gun sheets Small: Medium: Large: Have fun!
But they are transparent...? I'll place these in the OP, thanks. Anyways, you guys are posting some great stuff so far. Keep it up
