Starbound may have a lot of weapons, but what if it had even more. This is a small-ish list of items I think should be added. 1. Pump Shotgun - Ahh yes, my favorite weapon, the shotgun. Now, Starbound's shotguns may shoot plasma or flames, but nothing is as good as the classic shotgun, and its simple yet affective bullets. Most shotguns today have a fore-end (the pump part) that you pull back, then push up to ready up the gun. I would love to see this added into the game, but it would take some extra character animations for the pump part. 2. Sawed Shotgun - The sawed shotgun is a smaller, faster firing shotgun that only requires one hand to hold. They usually can hold 2 shells in them, but since Starbound has yet to implement an ammo system they will use up moderate amounts of energy, and fire 2 quick bursts, then having a short cool down until the next 2 shots are fired. This weapon can be dual-wielded. 3. Pocket Pistol - A small pistol that could fit into your pocket. This weapon would use little energy, have a decent rate of fire, and do a small amount of damage. A good early game gun to help you stay alive. 4. Bayonets - Bayonets are small blades attached to the end of guns (usually rifles) and are used to jab at enemies that come to close. This would be a feature only available to 2-handed guns, due to the fact that dual-wield guns require right-clicks to use one. The bayonet would do small amounts of damage, but it would be useful to defend from rushing enemies. 5. Flare Gun - As the name implies, its a gun that shoots flares. This gun would allow you to shoot flares farther into caves. If an enemy gets hit by the flare, it would take a small amount of damage, and be lit on fire for several seconds. 6. Dynamite - This classic explosive may seem small at first glance, but it can really pack a punch. This useful tool can be used for creating huge holes, killing enemies, or just being a jerk to your friend. 7. Frag Grenade - Its like a grenade, but with frags! These frags will fly out and hit some unlucky enemies. Ouch! Right in the eye!
