You should definitely post if you like. If someone ever mistreats you, report them and we'll definitely take care of it. If it doesn't get reported it may get missed, lots of posts to go through afterall.

You have to make a public apology to yourself, of course.

  4. Dear Chucklefish forums,

I came here to make an apology, My forums account is a temple and i have created many acts of desecration in it. i have called it/me a neckbeard, proclaimed myself a shill, pandered to homestuckers, pretended to be both an SJW AND an MRA, claimed to wear a fedora, and have made a general fool of myself. I am very sorry, and i hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.

    Your Friend

I always post my thoughts and doesn't really mind if people attack me. I don't take it personally because someone I don't know can not in any way mean anything to me. I must say that I prefer a civilized discussion though.

Buuut I understand some people may take it to their hearts which is a shame.

I said I was going to buy Battlefield Hardline on the battlelog forum and people raged because hating EA is cool and all. I was like "oh ok but I'm gonna buy it if I want it" and that's it .

You're absolutely correct. When a customer decides to dump their "I hate my life so I hate you" attitude on me, I do feel bad. For about 10 minutes.

Maybe until I get home for that rum+coke. ;)

The point I was trying to make is that anyone working in customer service (as some at :chucklefish: do) learns pretty quickly to classify spiteful, worthless comments as just that.

    Amen, well said...

Don't give up, Team Chucklefish, remember that most people that bought Starbound are very satisfied with the game and enjoy your work with the game so far. I have faith in you guys, I always had from the start. So don't give up. ;)

Sometimes I think of the "Internets" like religious sects- there will be those extreme fundamentalist zealots on both sides. Small minorities with the biggest signs/mouths/screams (in huge text written in red or fluorescent hot pink... flashing) who believe that their view is the only one, must be right, and holy H-E-double hockeysticks will strike thee down if you dare disagree- they don't even want to hear it.

Lately these an other forums have gotten inundated with such folk, even though the devs/team have been even more transparent and saying hello with their daily updates. Those of us who have been patient, occasionally comment and try to genuinely contribute are (I feel) the majority and though we may not always agree with everything that changes, we know that it is only being done for the betterment of the game, not to make it less damn fun in the end.

Maybe I'm just old school, but I remember that old saying "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". Maybe that's not so common anymore.

The move is assume to be a lie because someone heard somewhere that there were a few that have not committed the move. Then people turned it out it was just Tiy moving to a new location and making a lie about moving the whole team to allow for the "4 month" gap.

Also there is an argument that it was not a approved action and the consumers did not know and deceived into supporting it and that such a move should not have happened until the game was done as other games have not just up and moved mid development.

Some people don't see the benefit of the move and feel that with teamview and other telecommuting solutions would have worked just fine and the move was unneeded.

Yeah, I know one big issue was someone posted the link to the Developers of Pixel Piracy's dev and got banned do to failing to use tact. They then blame the flamebait rule in that technically in a hugbox like SBF saying anything negative is seen as trolling. Some people feel there should not be a limit on how they you can criticize the devs

Taking one sentence out of my post then telling me I'm in a bubble was a very classy way to approach a forum user you've never interacted with before.

If you read all of my post, I was talking about the quality of the game. Only that is in control of the developers. They may be influenced by a forum community, but they have the general ground build on what they want it to become.

I have no idea why you're mentioning critiques when we were discussing development. Literally someone just mentioned about how you paint who we are as a community, sigh.
