I'm surprised. I thought donations had totally tapered off again, I imagine they might pick up now that the goal seems "closer" or something.
Also, I finally saw the building video. Does it actually work off a system similar to LBP-- a popit tool? That's what it looked like to me, unless I'm being mentally creative again.

 

Yep, they actually got the idea from LBP since having a visual of what everyone else is doing helps the co op building immensely.

 

Very nice. I do think it is still possible to hit the 1 million mark. At the current rate of sales per hour it will take about 8 or 9 more days barring a surge.

 

How the total money ends in "7" if there are only prices that are multiples of 5?

EDIT: You people that think the sales won't go much higher are silly, it will still be MONTHS until beta, so there's plenty of time for the counter to go higher, even at a "slow" rate.

 

Now that Starbound pre-order promotion has kind of died down, everybody needs to make a big push to reach what seems to be the final stretch goal.

Make youtube videos about the Starbound pre-order, threads on forums, twitter, etc.

Just spread the word!

 

I previously predicted we'd hit 1mil by the end of this week. By the rate it's going now I'll adjust it to sometime in the middle/end of next week. Go go gadget meteorologist

Awsome, a lot of money has been made considering how long pre-orders have been running. I think the rate at which people are pre-ordering will probably go up again once Starbound advertises. For example when tb and jesse do their thing on Starbound, it should speed things up.

 

$900k wasn't too surprising, and I was estimating that we'd reach that by the end of the week. So it's a bit faster than I had anticipated. As someone else said, 8-9 days sounds about appropriate for the next $100k, and after that point we can hopefully expect another intriguing freebie for 1.25! It may slow down further though, as most of the money coming in at this stage is probably from forum-goers that didn't have the money to pre-order until now.

 

Yeah things will most likely pick up when this game gets closer to beta and gets more and more publicity. I'm sure if they keep pre-orders open for a couple months you'll see that figure rise quite a bit!

Product sales will shit through the roof the moment those two do this as a Co-op . And since Tiy already said he'd send a demo to them soon-ish, it shouldn't be much longer? ^^

It took one day to reach 200k.
It took two days to reach 400k.
It took four days to reach 600k.
It took eight days to reach 800k

Now, that's only four data points, but the time it takes to reach each new 200k mark seems to be doubling. Using this, we can predict that we'll reach 1M by May 6, 1.2M by May 22, 1.4M by June 23, and if the preorders continue into July, we can reasonably assume we'll reach 1.5M.

Now, I actually think we'll reach the closer points faster than this prediction indicates, and the later points later...but 1.5M does seem to still be a reasonable goal.

 

But the total paid is still $45. You pay $15 * 3 and get the fourt one free.

That makes sense. If they didn't claimed the humble bundle, the money ins't assured.
