If you've played the nightly/unstable branch, you've probably been in this situation before: You are exploring a cave when you come across a status pod and decide to give it a try. You get a chance for something neat like speed or rage, and if it gives you something harmful like Burn or Poison, all you need is a few bandages to shrug it off. Then, it gives you either Balloon (floating above the ground with little control over altitude) or Bounce (you ricochet off of every surface you hit). You see, while both of these statuses can be useful and/or fun in certain situations (like when you're travelling along a planet's surface), other situations are made absurdly difficult by their presence (like navigating a cave). And presently, the only way to get rid of these two statuses is to commit suicide, potentially losing a lot of stuff, and being permanent on the Permadeath gamemode. I really think that every status, even the "helpful" ones, should have a way to neutralize it. I haven't really put much thought into how... One thing that comes to mind is taking the Minecraft approach of having Milk cancel most statuses, or even different statuses being cancelled by certain food(s). Or maybe have a craftable "cleansing" stim that just cancels all statuses you may have.
