Even if its only an alpha test, it goes really in the direction I imagined. Magnificent!

My best try so far! I'm satisfied with the result. What do you think?

 

Personally, I like the first version better; it seems that the total loudness suffered a bit?

 

The problem is that the Starbound sampling engine doesn't have aftertouch, multilayer or anything remotely similar so it's pretty hard to make a good sounding instrument Nevertheless, I'll try to improve it

 

It's only my personal point of view; but as I would like to play a song with it, it's more important to hear it "clear" than hearing it "original", but with some problems.

 

First try definitely went better.

 

WE NEED POLKA INSTRUMENTS BADLY

 

The biggest instruments we are missing for Polka is a Double Bass (Man, I wish one) and Cimbalom (Or a vibraphone may work too).
I'm working out with some Double Bass samples (but no luck so far).

 

I can't get anything better than the first demo so I guess I should use that preset for the instrument

About the polka instruments... hmm Osoreshi, please tell me what instruments are you developing so I don't interfere with your work.

Probably I wouldn't be working too much on the said Double Bass which is the only polka related thing I'm working on. Other instruments are just experiments.

If you can make a real (or a good try) Double Bass, go ahead, I'll be looking forward to it
