Is it a planned feature to require drinking like we need food? With so much attention to detail in the game, why not add this? Some of the things I think would be cool with Water. Be able to move it, say with a bucket. Add a special gun/tank so that you can draw in units of water and deposit it elsewhere, you could use it then maybe as a weapon, shooting jets of water. Storage like chests in the form of tanks, flasks, bottles, etc. Give those metal barrels a use as well as whiskey flasks and so on. Same with the poisonous water, I want to have a way to bring this liquid to my base and build a moat with it. Water could be included in recipes for cooking or building. You could make ice with it, snow, slush, etc.
If this is implemented, I really think we should have designated hotkeys for food and water, or other ways to eat and drink than having to put the items in your hotbar ...
I hope they implement this. I have really been wanting to bring water back to my base but have no way of doing it
I think its working like this because there is no dehydratation meter, since the only dangerous climate is cold. If we had a heat and cold meter instead of only a "cold is dangerous" meter we might have more options to work with
not entirely. The ability to use liquids in building design would add a huge amount of content into the game - especially since not all liquids are available on all planets.. and it adds the possibility of including more then the current 3 liquids. Fountains, traps, sewers, pools, moats etc... How awesome would it be, if they didnt just stop at buckets, and went on to include barrels, tanks, pumps and pipes?
