Was impressed with the beta so far, but everone seems to be in such a haste to get the best stuff

The duplication bug allowed people to skyrocket rather quickly. I'm all about the journey so I've avoided using it.

 

I like to explore and build. I don't mind going slowly and it doesn't bother me at all that someone else has sharks with frickin' lasers on their heads and all I have is a sword, cuz, hey, everyone has their own playstyle, and this IS a sandbox game. Would make a cool MMO tho....

I've heard a lot of people giving similar sentiments. Maybe I'm just a more cautious player, but after getting stomped the first time, I didn't die very often. Combat against normal monsters really isn't that difficult if you strategize well. Keep your distance and zone the enemy properly.

Overpowered snipers, however...

 

As we plod along we'll also be able to figure out what's working and what's not with people's particular playstyles.

Aaaaaaaand sadface. But hey! If they wanna go that fast through the game before testing out (if that's their intention), then by all means. To be fair, trying to break the game is also a part of this phase as far as I understand it.

 

Oh it will be soon enough sort of, once the servers stabilize a bit, I can really imagine BIG servers with hundreds of people playing at the same, all living in groups or alone on various planets throughout the universe.

This game is perfect for role-playing by the way (on those type of huge servers), people can make great use of it!

 

Agreed but depend what type of player you are i think.
I'm currently exploring a desert planet to find ores. Struggling with monsters, camp at night, finding food, explore!!! I'm just taking my time, this game is so awesome.
