I promise this is more irregular of me, normally I react very fast to situations. Now that we are starting, I will be able to post updates more frequently. Waiting for everyone to post IC before I take you guys to the combat zone.
Good then. And I just realized that the link was broken (Sorry!) anyway, fixed the link to the pictures.
Can we just override starmaster267 and go anyway? Because he is choosing not to post. He's viewed the thread and been on frequently.... I think we should just begin.
Except for a page of two of wonderful character interaction, no. In the future, remember to post any and all OOC discussion in the OOC thread.
Alright, very well then (I've worked with noob RPers before, no big deal.) I would recommend reading a couple things if you hadn't already 1. Forum Rules (not really important for RPing, but you should follow them to avoid the banhammer.) 2. More Rules (In this case, what is expected in an RP) 3. The Roleplayer's Handbook (DEFIANTLY read this. Not all of it is necessary, but I would recommend "The Basics of Roleplaying" and "The Big No-No") These will help to give you some knowledge as to what is going on. In the meantime, there is both an RP (Roleplay) and an OOC (out of Character) thread. The RP thread is where all the action happens, and where you act out your character and tell us their actions or what they were saying. Meanwhile, the OOC (out of character, in case you didn't get it the first time,) is where you talk about things normally. Here, you can ask the other members of the RP for advice, or ask the GM (that's me in this case) for clarification if you feel I am a bit unclear.
Well then, time for you to get some hands-on experience. >All OOC chitter chatter should be written in this thread. >No metagaming. Any knowledge that your character should not logically know, unless explained, shouldn't be known. Why do you think we had introductions? >Try to keep one-liners to a minimum if possible. Feel the Creativity within you and let it flow. Also, Corporal, you just got called by a soldier. Refer to the very first post of the IC thread.
Explanation: A common thing in the army is that whenever a private or other solder underneath a Sergeant in rank calls them "sir," the Sergeant's usual response is to go "Sir? I work for a living, Private," Sir is usually reserved for officers and such, such as a Second Lieutenant or Captain. Anyone lower and the right form of addressing them is by their rank (Sergeant, Corporal, etc.)
